I've received a phone call from someone in the Sioux Falls region interested in organizing an ace race for the 2009 year. That being said, is there a club in Sioux Falls, or nearby?

It is not really a true club, but there is a "Sioux Falls Disc Golf Club" formerly the "Big Sioux Disc Golf Club" . I organize/fund/run everything, and 3-4 of the guys help out a little bit at tournaments and run our weekly singles league. I'm hoping this will change. If people want states in Sioux Falls/Brandon, it definately needs to change. I'm willing to be a co- or assistant- TD, but I will not organize and run everything myself. I don't have the time or inclination to do so. I'm committed to running the Sioux Falls Open, and a first ever PDGA sanctioned event in Brandon once all 18 holes are completed.

I think it would actually be best to wait a year or two to have States in Sioux Falls. The new course I designed in Brandon needs to be completed this spring (nine more holes and concrete), and no one wants to step up and do anything significant as far as planning and raising money. We will see. Maybe the guys will surprise me.

P.S. Nine holes are in at Bradon, and they rock!!

I am replying to my post (god i am cool)... The lay out for the big sioux is awesome! There were a handful of shooters out Saturday afternoon. The weather was great, the throws were so-so, and just the act of being outiside felt amazing. I encourage anyone and everyone to go play and continue to clear the war path.
